OHL Bound: Lexi Kert Signs with the Barrie Colts
CHE & PHC Alum Lexi Kert Signs with the Barrie Colts
The Center of Hockey Excellence (CHE) and Personal Hockey Coach (PHC) are thrilled to announce that client Lexi Kert has officially signed with the Barrie Colts of the Ontario Hockey League (OHL).
Currently a standout at the prestigious Choate Rosemary Hall in Connecticut, the 2007-born left-shot defenseman has earned his spot in one of the premier developmental leagues in the world. At 6’2” Lexi has built a reputation as a big, strong, and highly responsible physical presence on the blue line, qualities that the Colts value deeply as they build for the future.
Lexi’s journey from elite Prep hockey to the OHL is a testament to his work ethic and the deliberate developmental path he has followed. Known for his "shutdown" capabilities and high hockey IQ, he is fully committed to arriving at training camp this fall ready to compete as a lineup regular.
"I'm so very excited and I'm going to put even more time and effort in to ensure I'm ready for the challenge," said Kert. "Barrie is a very reputable and successful franchise, and I'm so proud to be part of the organization."
The transition to Major Junior is a significant step, and Lexi’s "onwards and upwards" trajectory is exactly what we strive for at CHE and PHC. We look forward to seeing him suit up in the blue, white, and horse-power yellow at the Sadlon Arena next season.
Congratulations, Lexi! The hard work is just beginning.
