2024 CAPITAL SHOWCASE CHAMPIONS

RENFREW, ON — After a 2OT barn-burner of a final, CHE’s Mikhail Trofimov buried the puck off a faceoff to secure the 2-1 win and championship for his team.

Between stellar goaltending and staying with it, the CHE squad went undefeated at the Capital Showcase, taking home the first tournament win of the season. The team had a strong start out of the gate on Friday, followed by two intense games to bring them to their biggest test in the final. The boys worked hard to push a 1-1 game through into double overtime, where the final goal was caught on tape (posted below).

A big thank you to the organizers, referees, and rink staff in Renfrew. One final thank you to the team, a group of talented players who gave it their all one weekend in May. Cheers to you boys.
