U16 CHE during their 6-0 victory on Friday night against Team Five Hole

U18 CHE Green - Tournament Semi-Finalists

Success in the windy city.

CHE brought two teams to Chicago this year to the Chi-Town Shuffle. The two teams were slotted in the U16 and U18 elite brackets respectively.

These leagues had a combined 32 potential opponents for the CHE squads, with seriously competitive hockey all around.

We are proud to report that both the U16 and U18 teams made it to the showdown on Sunday.

The 4-2-0 U16 CHE team defeated the 2-2-1 Ottawa Valley Sevens 3-2 to move on to face the 5-0-1 Junkyard Dogs in the tournament final.

U16 CHE Navy - Tournament Finalists

CHE fell to the Junkyard Dogs 4-2 in a valiant effort in the final. The team played hard, and proved their mettle in a competitive final game.

The 3-0-1 U18 CHE team skated into the semi-final on Sunday without a loss in regulation. Up against the 3-2-0 Midwest Knights, CHE pushed the game to overtime before losing 2-1 in the nail biter match.

CHE coaches and staff are incredibly proud of our two teams, and chalk up the trip to Chicago as a great success. We want to thank the players, parents and tournament organizers for participating in a great weekend of hockey.
